Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Prep Chef to join our kiosk team.
The ideal candidate will work evenings in our kiosk preparing ingredients and dishes, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This is an excellent opportunity for a responsible candidate looking for part-time, flexible evening work
Duties
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring as required to support our busy sushi & streetfood kitchen in their daily production.
- Following batch recipes and specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the prep station and kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory management to ensure availability of ingredients
- Collaborate with sushi chefs to ensure efficient preparation and presentation
- Accept and fulfil PM orders through our delivery partners -Just Eat/Uber/Deliveroo by bagging ready made produce and handing off to drivers
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Ability to lone-working efficiently with excellent time management skills
- Experience of handling knives
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of sushi preparation is advantageous but not essential
