Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Design Technology Teacher to join our educational team. Duties
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive lessons in design technology, incorporating practical projects and theoretical knowledge.
- Develop customised learning plans to meet diverse student needs, including those requiring special education support.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to student engagement.
- Utilise various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, ensuring all students can participate actively.
- Assess student progress regularly through assignments, tests, and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum content aligned with educational standards and school objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and behavioural reports in compliance with school policies.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance and behaviour issues.
- Support students' social and emotional development through behaviour management strategies and tutoring when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching design technology or related subjects within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of special education needs and behaviour management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging students across various age groups and abilities.
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional support to students in English or other core subjects is desirable.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment standards relevant to design technology education.
