We are looking for an experienced and reliable Roadside Mechanic to join our team, working on commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
This is a hands-on role suited to a mechanic who enjoys working independently and is confident carrying out servicing, brake repairs and tyre work in a roadside/mobile environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on our commercial vehicle fleet, helping to keep vehicles safe, roadworthy and operational.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out regular vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Brake inspections, repairs and replacements
- Tyre inspections, fitting and replacement
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Carrying out roadside repairs where required
- Completing routine safety and vehicle checks
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
- Working safely and professionally at all times
Working Hours
- 3 days per week
- Approximately 12–15 hours per day
- Flexible working pattern to be agreed
- Predominantly working on commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- A qualified or experienced vehicle mechanic
- Experienced working on vans and commercial vehicles
- Confident carrying out servicing, brake and tyre work
- Able to diagnose mechanical issues independently
- Reliable, organised and professional
- Comfortable working alone and at roadside locations
- Able to work long shifts when required
- Holds a full UK driving licence
