We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to support a young person with their daily routines. This role involves providing personalised care to in various settings, including private residences and local community settings. Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility needs
- Support with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Help clients adhere to their individual care plans, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Accompany clients on outings or appointments, utilising driving skills when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Support with light household tasks to promote a clean and safe environment
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to minimise risks
Skills
- Proficiency in driving and a valid driving licence is essential for supporting clients outside the home
- Experience working in and SEND is advantageous
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and updating records
- Excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to providing high-quality personal care
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: £16.00-£17.00 per hour
