Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists, ensuring smooth clinical operations and delivering excellent patient care. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready.
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, ensuring they understand their care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update digital systems efficiently.
- Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and managing patient correspondence.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
- Offer reassurance and support to anxious patients, fostering a calm environment.
- Manage stock levels of dental supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental setting is preferred but not mandatory as we can supply adequate training for this role.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Formal training in nursing or dental assisting recognised within the UK healthcare system.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic health records and appointment systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst maintaining attention to detail and professionalism at all times.
