Senior Host - Bancone Golden Square
5 days per week | 35-40 hours | £16.00 per hour (inclusive of Tronc) + surplus Tronc
At Bancone, we believe every great dining experience starts with an exceptional welcome. We're looking for a Senior Host to become the face of our vibrant Golden Square restaurant.
This is a highly guest-facing role where you'll spend a significant part of your shift outside the restaurant, welcoming passers-by, showcasing our menu, recommending our signature dishes, and encouraging guests to dine with us. As a true ambassador for our brand, you'll be responsible for creating excitement about our restaurant, delivering outstanding first impressions, and contributing to daily sales and cover targets through confident, personable interaction.

What you'll be doing
As our Senior Host, you'll be at the heart of the restaurant, bringing our culture to life every day by:
- Delivering an outstanding first and last impression for every guest.
- Spending a significant part of your shift outside the restaurant, proactively engaging with passers-by and creating excitement about Bancone.
- Welcoming potential guests, introducing our menu, recommending signature dishes, and converting footfall into diners.
- Leading with confidence, warmth and professionalism.
- Managing reservations efficiently using SevenRooms.
- Supporting and coaching the host team to deliver consistently exceptional service.
- Being highly visible on the restaurant floor and helping to create a positive atmosphere.
- Building genuine relationships with our guests and recognising returning guests.
- Translating Bancone's values into memorable guest experiences.
- Working closely with the management and floor teams to ensure smooth service.
- Managing deposits, cancellations and refunds accurately.
- Managing enquiries and bookings for our private dining room.
- Upholding GDPR requirements when handling guest information.
What we're looking for
We're searching for someone who is:
- An experienced Host or Senior Host in a busy, high-quality restaurant.
- Naturally bubbly, energetic and people-focused.
- Passionate about hospitality and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
- A confident communicator with excellent organisational skills.
- Calm under pressure and able to make quick decisions.
- A team player who enjoys supporting and developing others.
- Comfortable using reservation platforms such as SevenRooms.
- Competent using the Microsoft Office package.
- Committed to high standards of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene.
