Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in our small rural care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, and promoting their well-being. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming while respecting their dignity and privacy.
- Support individuals with mobility and daily routines, encouraging independence where possible.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate care plans and document any changes in residents’ conditions or needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to deliver personalised care.
- Assist with domestic duties such as laundry, cleaning, and organising personal belongings.
Skills
- Valid driving licence is desirable for the role.
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing.
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
