Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Marquee Erector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling marquees and temporary structures at various event locations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors and be part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality event solutions. Prior experience in construction or event setup is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Erect and dismantle marquees and temporary structures in accordance with safety standards and client specifications
- Ensure all components are correctly assembled, secured, and levelled to maintain stability during events
- Assist with the transportation of marquees, poles, and related equipment to designated sites
- Conduct safety checks throughout the erection process to identify potential hazards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard
- Dismantle structures carefully after events, ensuring all equipment is stored securely for future use
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, reporting any faults or damages promptly
Skills
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy components safely and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure structures are erected accurately
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team under supervision or independently when required
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction or outdoor work environments
- Previous experience in construction, event setup, or related fields is desirable but not essential
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different work sites and schedules
