The Role – Sous Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to support our culinary team and help oversee all food production across restaurant, bar, and event operations.
Working closely with the Head Chef and Food & Beverage Management Team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional food quality, maintaining food safety standards, managing kitchen operations, and supporting menu development for both day-to-day service and special events.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Supervising chefs and kitchen porters
- Assisting with recruitment, training, scheduling, and development of kitchen staff
- Ensuring food is prepared and presented to the highest standards
- Managing stock control, ordering, rotation, and wastage
- Supporting food and labour budget controls
- Maintaining hygiene, health & safety, and food safety compliance
- Assisting with menu planning and event catering requirements
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure smooth service delivery

Experience & Skills Required
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen management
- Experience managing kitchen teams
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong understanding of food safety and compliance procedures
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced hospitality environment
Working Hours
- The business operates seven days a week
- Shift patterns will vary according to operational requirements
- Weekend and Bank Holiday working required
- Evening availability required for functions and events
