Duties
- Plan and deliver high-quality swimming lessons tailored to the needs of diverse learners, ensuring clear progression pathways.
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and safety skills, encouraging students to achieve their personal goals.
- Maintain a safe environment by enforcing pool rules, supervising students at all times, and responding promptly to emergencies.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting lesson plans accordingly.
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that motivates learners to enjoy their time in the water and build confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching methods and participate in team meetings for continuous improvement.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and any incidents or concerns related to student safety.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Level 2 swimming teaching qualification.
- Demonstrate previous experience teaching swimming.
- Possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with learners of all ages and backgrounds.
- Show enthusiasm for teaching swimming and promoting water safety awareness.
- Must have up to date DBS and safeguarding certification in place.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to creating an enjoyable learning experience for all students.
