We are currently looking for experienced Carpenters & Joiners to join our team for ongoing construction projects across Cambridge , Peterborough & Harlow.
Job Purpose
You will be part of a professional carpentry team delivering high-quality work across a range of construction projects including:
- New builds
- School extensions
- Refurbishments
- General construction works
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing carpentry and joinery tasks safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while working within project deadlines and health & safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of carpentry and joinery work, both internal and external
- Work professionally and flexibly to meet customer and project requirements
- Use all relevant carpentry tools, plant, and equipment safely and effectively
- Read and work from drawings and site instructions
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety
- Manage materials efficiently to minimise waste and maintain productivity
- Work independently and as part of a team on active construction sites
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ carpentry experience (5+ years preferred)
- Valid CSCS Card (required)
- SSSTS qualification advantageous
- IPAF or additional site qualifications beneficial
- Must be self-employed
- Own tools required
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
- Own vehicle preferred (company vehicle may be available for the right candidate)
- Proven experience on similar construction projects
