Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
Gloucester Family Care is looking for an exceptional Registered Manager to lead our small, stable children's home, based in the outskirts of Gloucester. This is an opportunity to create a nurturing, therapeutic environment where children who have experienced trauma can develop trusting relationships, feel safe, and achieve positive outcomes.
Our approach is rooted in trauma-informed practice, Non-Violent Resistance (NVR), and relationship-based care. We believe behaviour is communication and that positive change happens through connection, consistency, and compassionate leadership.
We are looking for a Registered Manager who can:
- Lead, nurture and develop a caring, skilled residential team.
- Create a warm, stable, family-style home environment.
- Embed therapeutic, trauma-informed and NVR approaches into daily practice.
- Ensure outstanding care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
- Support children to build resilience, confidence, and positive life outcomes.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to achieve within regulatory timescales.
- Experience in a management role within residential childcare.
- Experience in working with children and young people in residential care.
- Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Full UK driving licence.
