About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Tutor to deliver high-quality, in-person tuition to students. The role focuses on developing students’ reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension skills while building confidence and academic performance.
Training will be provided as part of a probationary period to ensure tutors meet our teaching standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality 1-to-1 or small group English tuition
- Support students with reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, and exam preparation
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
- Maintain clear and accurate records of student progress
- Provide regular, constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of English (GCSE level required; A-Level preferred)
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organised, and professional attitude
- Willingness to complete 24 hours of probationary training
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
