Duties
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments using forklifts and manual handling techniques.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for dispatch, ensuring timely delivery.
- Operate warehouse management systems (such as AS400) to track inventory levels and update stock records.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and heavy lifting guidelines.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain organized storage areas for easy access and inventory control.
- Assist with materials handling tasks related to construction or other specialized projects as needed.
- Support shipping and receiving functions by completing documentation, verifying shipments, and coordinating with transport providers.
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of stock management and materials handling.
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating forklifts safely in a busy environment.
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is highly desirable for troubleshooting equipment or handling specialized materials.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 for inventory tracking.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading, unloading, and stocking activities.
- Experience in picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes within a fast-paced setting.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all dispatch activities.

Pay: £12.75-£13.50 per hour
