Role & Responsibilities
The opportunity has arisen for a Home Manager within our small 24 hour supported living service based in Durrington, Worthing, West Sussex. We provide 24-hour support for 3 individuals with learning disabilities & Autism who share their home together. You will provide supervision and values-led management to a team of support workers.
The role is shift based, working alongside the team of support staff you manage and does include some sleep-in duties.
Duties may include:
- To rota staff efficiently and effectively to maximize service user contact time with available staff resources.
- To deliver, monitor and evaluate service users Support Plans, working with the organisations behaviour support team to ensure high quality services are delivered in accordance, with CQC outcomes.
- To monitor the quality of performance of staff, addressing performance issues if required.
- To with support from senior management monitor and manage the attendance of staff in accordance with the sickness and absence policy. To undertake return to work interviews and absence reviews.
- Support the people we support with their individual support plans and help them to achieve their goals.
- Support the individuals with their personal care where required along with domestic tasks as required including, cleaning, shopping, cooking, laundry.
- Provide a high level of dignity, respect, and value to the people we support in all areas of contact.
Who we are looking for:
- Managerial experience is desirable but if you have been a deputy, senior or a Team leader within a similar setting and are ready for career progression, this could be the role for you.
- We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the right values and behaviours to nurture a positive workplace culture based on dignity and respect.
- Minimum 2 years working within a service that delivers care to vulnerable adults, including those with a learning disability/mental health and understanding the issues they face.
- Seeing the possibilities to make positive difference. Valuing and celebrating individuality and diversity.
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ or Health & Social Care Diploma.
- Being resilient – yes there can be tough days but there is also lots of fun to be had!
- To have experience of writing person centred support plans that encourage independence and maximise their potential.

Requirements:
· Working on a shift basis across the week with two administrative days per week, some weekend working is required
· Sleep-in duties will be required as part of the role - these are paid in addition at £70 per sleep in.
· Please note that all our positions require an Enhanced DBS check in relation to adults.
· Full UK driving licence is preferrable to help support our service users in the community.

Schedule:
- Combination of shifts: Early, Late and across the day with some weekend working required
- Sleep duties are shared across the staff team and the manager
