Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high-quality in-home care to clients across the community. This role involves supporting individuals with a variety of needs, including elderly care, dementia support, and specialised health conditions. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for those they assist. Experience in assisted living, patient care, nursing home environments, or hospice care is highly desirable. Duties
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Providing medication administration and ensuring adherence to prescribed routines
- Supporting with meal preparation and nutritional needs
- Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Offering companionship and emotional support, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's
- Managing behaviour and implementing behaviour management strategies as needed
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities in a safe manner
- Responding promptly to client needs and reporting any concerns or changes in condition
- Supporting clients with activities of daily living in accordance with personalised care plans
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures
Experience
- Prior experience in home care, nursing, or assisted living environments is preferred
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s, dementia, hospice, and senior care is advantageous
- Experience in medication administration and first aid certification is desirable
- Familiarity with behaviour management techniques and caregiving best practices
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility needs
- Valid driving licence
- Childcare experience or caring for vulnerable adults is a plus but not essential
This role requires a caring attitude, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of client safety and dignity. All positions are paid roles that contribute significantly to the wellbeing of individuals within their homes.
Pay: £12.21 per hour
