Care Home Administrator & Receptionist
Location: Stockton Lodge Care Home, Seaham
Job Type: Full-Time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday

Stockton Lodge Care Home is seeking a highly organised and welcoming Care Home Administrator & Receptionist to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a caring environment, providing administrative support while delivering a warm and professional first impression to residents, relatives, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming visitors and answering telephone enquiries professionally.
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and emails.
- Maintaining resident hard copy records and administrative documentation.
- Supporting, staff records, and rota administration using
- our inhouse system
- New starter inductions and files to be completed
- Undertake checks on PIN numbers, visa expiry dates, and DBS checks that are due for renewal
- Ordering stationery as requested by the Manager/ Deputy Manager
- Ensure all invoices are forwarded in a timely manner to the finance department.
- Coordinating appointments, meetings, and service visits keeping the diary up to date
- Maintaining filing systems and ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
- Printing, Scanning, faxing, photocopying and creating spreadsheets as requested
- Archiving documents and arranging shredding of old documents
- Providing general administrative support to the Home Manager and care team.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Business Administration Level 3 would be an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
- A friendly, compassionate, and professional manner.
- Patience and care as you will be working within the home with the residents
- Experience in a care home, healthcare, or similar setting would be desirable but not essential.

Pay: £25,420.00 per year
