Installation & Service Engineer (Movable Walls) – Full Training Provided
Location: Runcorn, Cheshire (Nationwide Travel)

About Us
Avant Movable Walls Ltd is a leading UK specialist in the supply, installation, servicing and repair of movable wall and sliding folding partition systems. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Installation & Service Engineer to join our expanding team.
Previous experience with movable walls is not essential. If you have the right attitude, practical ability and experience in a related trade, we’ll provide full training to help you become a specialist engineer.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of movable wall and sliding folding partition systems across the UK.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing new movable wall systems.
- Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs.
- Commissioning newly installed systems.
- Completing service reports and job documentation.
- Delivering a professional, high-quality service to customers.
Projects include schools, offices, hotels, conference centres, healthcare facilities and commercial buildings throughout the UK.
Transferable Skills Welcome
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant trade, including:
- Joinery and carpentry
- Shopfitting
- Automatic door engineering
- Fire door installation and maintenance
- Roller shutter engineering
- Bi-fold or industrial door installation
- Aluminium glazing and entrance systems
- Commercial fit-out and partitioning
- Mechanical installation or field service engineering
- Other similar engineering or installation trades
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant trade.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong mechanical and practical skills.
- Good fault-finding ability.
- Professional attitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel and work nationwide.
CSCS card is desirable but not essential.

Working Pattern
