HGV Technician (Monday–Friday)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated HGV Technician to join our growing team in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a great work-life balance with a Monday to Friday schedule and a competitive salary.
You will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they are maintained to the highest safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on HGVs.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
- Complete MOT preparations and inspections.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to DVSA standards.
- Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records.
- Work effectively as part of a professional workshop team.
Requirements
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Proven experience working as an HGV Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Good understanding of DVSA inspection and maintenance standards.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
- IRTEC accreditation.
- Experience with diagnostic software and modern vehicle systems.
