We are recruiting for an operations and quality focussed Nursery Area Support Manager to work for a lovely small nursery group who have currently 2 settings based across Gloucestershire. The Area Support Manager will play a key role in supporting the operational success of two nurseries, working closely with the business owner and Nursery Managers to drive quality, occupancy, compliance and team performance.
As the Nursery Area Support Manager your role will include;
- Support the day-to-day operational management of both nursery settings.
- Work closely with Nursery Managers to ensure the smooth running of each nursery.
- Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to management teams.
- Support Nursery Managers in delivering outstanding care, learning and development outcomes.
- Monitor quality standards through regular nursery visits, audits and observations.
- Ensure the EYFS is embedded effectively throughout both settings.
- Oversee Safeguarding across both sites
- Maintain a strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and current legislation.
- Support managers in achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular audits covering safeguarding, health and safety, compliance and operational standards.
- Work with Nursery Managers to drive occupancy growth across both settings.
- Monitor enquiries, conversions and occupancy trends.
- Support recruitment activity across both nurseries.
- Analyse key performance indicators relating to occupancy, quality, staffing and compliance.
- Support the creation and implementation of action plans to address areas for improvement.
To be considered for the role of Nursery Area Support Manager, you will need;
- Extensive Nursery Manager experience at a high standard OR an existing Support Manager
- Full and relevant childcare qualifications
- Ideally DSL and SENco qualifications, although not essential
- Stable job history, showcasing your achievements and strengths
- Passionate about high quality practice and implementing in within Nurseries
- Excellent knowledge of EYFS and embedding that within a high quality environment
- Hands on and can do attitude
- Able to work independently and be strategic
