Moorswater Lodge is looking for a reliable, friendly and organised Breakfast Cook to join our team.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for preparing and serving freshly cooked breakfasts to our guests while creating a warm and welcoming start to their day.
We are looking for someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in food and table presentation, maintains high standards of cleanliness, and provides excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the breakfast dining area before guests arrive
- Cook freshly prepared breakfasts to a consistently high standard
- Prepare a range of breakfast dishes, English Breakfast, Shakshouka, Eggs
- Ensure food is presented attractively and served promptly
- Welcome and serve guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Keep the breakfast area clean, organised and well stocked throughout service
- Monitor food quality and maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards
- Wash up and keep the kitchen clean during and after service
- Clean and reset the dining area ready for the following day
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored correctly
- Report any stock shortages or maintenance issues

We're looking for someone who enjoys interacting with people, takes pride in preparing delicious breakfasts, and understands that excellent hospitality is about making every guest feel welcome and well looked after.
Your friendly attitude and attention to detail will help ensure every guest starts their day with a positive experience.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience preparing breakfasts or working in a kitchen
- The ability to cook a range of breakfast dishes confidently and consistently
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- A friendly and approachable manner
- High standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
- The ability to work efficiently during busy breakfast service
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliability and punctuality
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of the morning service
A current Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
