Team Leader
Location: Rotherham
Rate of Pay: £18.00 per hour (weekly or monthly pay available)
Shift Pattern: 35 hours on shift, nights and days and 12 hours admin
Contract: 1 x 36-hour contract.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Leader to join our team. As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership and support to a team of Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. You will lead by example, promote best practice, support staff development, and ensure all care plans, documentation, and compliance requirements are maintained to a high standard.
This is a hands-on role that combines direct support with leadership responsibilities. You will work closely with the individual we support, their family, healthcare professionals, and the wider operations team to ensure positive outcomes and an exceptional standard of care.
The individual has a brain injury and is a wheelchair user, requiring full personal care and safe moving and handling support, including the use of hoisting equipment. He communicates his needs clearly and has capacity, but can become verbally frustrated if routines change or expectations are not met. Therefore, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a calm, patient, and proactive approach, providing consistent support while maintaining a positive environment for both the individual and the care team.

Previous experience in a Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or similar leadership role within a healthcare or complex care setting.

Experience supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries, complex care needs, or long-term health conditions.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a small team, ensuring high standards of care and professional practice.

Strong understanding of care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding, medication management, and regulatory compliance.

Experience completing and maintaining accurate documentation, care records, audits, and other administrative responsibilities.

Competence in moving and handling procedures, including the safe use of hoists and specialist equipment.

Excellent communication, organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to mentor and develop team members through coaching, supervision, and ongoing support.

Confident working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
