About the Role
Star FM Group is looking for a motivated Part-Time Workshop Technician to join our CCTV team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in the electronic security industry while learning directly from one of our Senior Engineers.
You will receive full training, including a mix of hands-on workshop experience, onsite training and external courses organised, managed and funded by the employer. The role is designed to help you develop your technical knowledge and practical skills in CCTV engineering to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- · Build and prepare CCTV systems, including CCTV solar towers, alarm systems and IP systems.
- · Configure, set up and test systems before deployment.
- · Test, clean and prepare CCTV equipment for use in the field.
- · Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workshop environment.
- · Support stock-taking and help ensure equipment is recorded accurately.
- · Deliver or drop off equipment to field engineers and other company offices when required.
- · Work alongside a Senior Engineer to develop practical engineering skills and industry knowledge.
What We’re Looking For
· A full UK driving licence.
· A clean criminal record.
· A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn.
· Good attention to detail when preparing, testing and maintaining equipment.
· A reliable and organised approach to workshop tasks.
· An interest in CCTV, alarm systems, IP systems or the wider electronic security industry.
