What You'll Be Doing
You'll be at the heart of service delivery, supporting both the people we support and the staff who support them.
Leading the Team
- Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the service.
- Mentor, coach and develop Support Workers.
- Complete supervisions and support staff development.
- Help induct and train new team members.
- Promote a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture.
Supporting People to Thrive
- Deliver exceptional person-centred support.
- Help individuals achieve their goals, build independence and develop life skills.
- Support community access, social activities, holidays and family connections.
- Ensure support plans and risk assessments are up to date and followed.
- Champion dignity, choice, respect and inclusion.
Medication & Quality
- Be the service Medication Champion.
- Manage medication ordering, audits and competency assessments.
- Complete health & safety audits and financial audits.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure high standards of care are maintained at all times.
Working Alongside Management
- Assist with rota planning and service coordination.
- Participate in the first-tier on-call rota.
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Build positive relationships with families, professionals and local authorities.
Essential
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative
- Passion for delivering outstanding person-centred support
- Compassionate and empathetic
- Accountable and professional
