We're reopening The White Swan in Wighill from Late September! We're looking for a full time team member to join our front of house team. We're looking for someone enthusiastic, friendly & confident to work alongside the rest of our front of house team to create a refreshing, warming environment for all customers who visit the pub!
The position will be full time with a minimum of 35 hours with 3 days off per week! Ideally applicants will have some good experience in a similar role but it's not essential!
Core responsibilities
- Greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and walk-ins
- Taking food and drink orders accurately, using the till/EPOS system correctly
- Serving food and drinks promptly, checking back on tables
- Handling payments, splitting bills, processing card/cash transactions
- Clearing and resetting tables promptly between covers
- Basic bar service — pulling pints, pouring wine, mixing simple drinks (if dual-trained)
- Answering questions about the menu, including allergens and dietary requirements
- Maintaining cleanliness of the front of house area (tables, bar, toilets, floors)
- Restocking service stations (napkins, condiments, glassware)
- Following opening/closing procedures for the FOH area
- Welcoming hotel guests and checking them into their accommodation
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
