Job Function:
- The main function of this job is to ensure that the customer receives the highest quality of service.
- To maintain bar and cellar standards as set by the Bar Manager.
- Ensure high standards and quality of product served. A good understanding of cellar management and cask ales is required.
- Flexibility to be able to work weekday evenings and weekends as well as other days / times for events / functions.
- To lead shifts and maintain core bar operations in the Bar Manager's absence.
Duties:
- Supervise the smooth running of the bar.
- Keep cellar clean and tidy and remove empties from cellar.
- Tap and vent cask ales and ensure that they are in good condition before allowing to be served. Maintain the Ale Board to ensure ales are ready in strict order.
- Ensure that strict stock rotation is maintained.
- Ensure that staff are fully trained in all duties, including opening and closing of Club, such that they can have tasks delegated to them. Staff are also expected to understaand expectations of the Club, which are detailed in the Code of Conduct.
- Assist with routine staff queries such as issues within the Club, unavailability to work etc.
- Manager Club diary.
- Take deliveries and accommodate routine supplier visits, should they fall within assigned hours.
- Perform routine operational tasks to ensure standards are maintained.
- Other tasks may be assigned by the Bar Manager where appropriate.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 25.0 per week
