Looking for More Than Just a Care Job?
At the Institute of Our Lady of Mercy, care isn't simply what we do – it's who we are.
We're looking for a compassionate, dedicated Senior Care Assistant who genuinely care about helping older people live fulfilling, dignified, and independent lives. If you're the kind of person who takes the time to listen, enjoys making someone's day brighter, and believes that great care comes from the heart, we'd love to hear from you.
Unlike many care providers, we are a non-profit organisation. That means our focus is on people, not profits. Every day, our team works together to create a warm, welcoming home where our residents feel valued, respected, and supported.
This isn't just another care role. It's an opportunity to become part of a close-knit community where kindness, compassion, and meaningful relationships are at the heart of everything we do.
About the Role:
As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care, supporting our residents with their daily lives while helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and sense of purpose.
Whether you're providing personal care, sharing a conversation over a cup of tea, supporting independence, or simply being there when someone needs a friendly face, you'll make a real difference every single day – and have the time to do it!
Supporting and working alongside a dedicated care team, you'll help create a safe, happy, and caring environment where our residence can continue to thrive.

- Administering medication
- Support, supervise and mentor care staff
- Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
