Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Wait Staff to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and have a solid understanding of hospitality standards. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen or bar staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Provide attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or dietary needs
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Clear tables and assist with setting up for subsequent service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Handle cash or electronic payments accurately and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are key
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities during busy periods
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour towards guests
- Experience with food preparation, culinary tasks, or kitchen operations is advantageous but not mandatory
- A genuine passion for guest service and creating welcoming atmospheres
