Working directly for a busy security fencing manufacturer and supplier, this position is for a Class 2 Hiab driver to fit into our team, delivering and collecting throughout the UK. Our yard is based in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent.
This role is Monday to Friday, with no weekend requirement. Whilst the position is for days only, we can not legislate for traffic and reasons beyond our control, so some flexibility is required from the successful applicant. The position will require early starts and/or late finishes, as is expected with this role.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assisting with loading and unloading.
- Delivering to customers yard's or site's throughout the UK.
- Managing your routes efficiently to ensure you arrive on time to each delivery.
- Collections from our supply chain where necessary.
- Any other reasonable request to suit the needs of the business as and when required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Able to work on own initiative and effectively work with all staff throughout the business.
- May have experience working within the fencing industry, but not essential.
- Must be presentable and approachable at all times, delivering with a smile.
- Full UK Driving License and HGV Class 2 license with no offences.
- Must have a valid CPC and Tacho.
- Awareness of H&S procedures, Driver hours and working time directive knowledge.
- HIAB Training would be an advantage

Salary: £14.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday - daily/weekly hours differ due to the nature of the role - 40 hours per week minimum average contracted hours.
