Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to oversee the launch of our new café. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a new team and expand on current skillset. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and delivering exceptional customer service. Previous experience in a cafe or hospitality, along with a strong background of team leadership, is essential. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations, ensuring efficient service and high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Oversee food preparation, Barista coffees, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage team members, including scheduling, supervising, and motivating staff to deliver excellent customer service
- Assist the manager in maintaining stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory control
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
- Support marketing efforts by promoting the café’s offerings both online and on-site
- Assist with financial management tasks such as sales reporting and cost control
Requirements
- Experience working in a cafe or hospitality
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a diverse team
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and service delivery
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism
- A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in managing or supervising within a restaurant or café environment is preferred
