Aims of Job/Job Purpose
Working in People Services the Administration Apprentice role will be a very rewarding experience. You will work within the payroll department providing administration support assisting in maintaining payroll systems and employee information and developing knowledge of the processes.
The Administration Apprentice must be dedicated and committed to accuracy at all times and ensure strict confidentiality at all times.
Examples of Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

To attend a college course approx. one day a week Undertake relevant training through day release to complete the Apprenticeship course.
- Deal with divisional telephone enquiries and respond to queries in a professional manner
- Carry out general administrative duties, which will involve the use of all Microsoft packages and internal IT systems.
- Assist in the maintenance of college payroll databases and systems
- Input relevant data onto College systems ensuring that information is checked and recorded accurately
- To assist in the maintenance and updating of finance systems
- Assist with the administration for authorised car users and staff absences
- General office administration to include dealing with post, answering the telephone, photocopying, filing and typing, word processing and minute taking.
- Attend and contribute to divisional meetings
- Carry out any reasonable instructions, including additional duties commensurate with the level and grading of this post.
