About the Role
As part of ENVEA UK's continued growth, we are recruiting for multiple Production Technician positions to strengthen our manufacturing team on a temporary 3-6 month contract. This role offers the opportunity to become a permanent position, subject to performance and business requirements.
As a Production Technician, you will assemble ENVEA UK products to the highest quality standards, supporting the manufacture of world-class environmental monitoring equipment. Working closely with the wider Operations and Engineering teams, you will help ensure products are built efficiently, safely and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble ENVEA UK products in line with standard operating procedures and quality standards.
- Carry out mechanical assembly using technical drawings and work instructions.
- Complete wiring, soldering, drilling, tapping, crimping and other assembly tasks.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Test, Stores and Production Engineering teams to meet production targets.
- Provide flexible support across the production department as required.
- Identify and report quality issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical feedback to improve product quality, manufacturing processes and cost efficiency.
- Support the investigation and return of faulty supplier components.
- Keep the Manufacturing Manager informed of progress and any production issues.
Skills & Experience
Preferred
- Experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience of wiring, soldering, drilling, tapping and crimping.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Electronics assembly experience.
- Previous experience in a production or test environment.
