Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using our electronic health record system
- Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and update medical records accurately
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing information or directing calls to appropriate staff
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently to minimize wait times
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing correspondence
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area to support a professional environment
Skills
- Proven office experience with strong organizational abilitie
- Previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting is essential
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Office, EMIS, Accurx and Docman (desirable includes Anima and Abtrace)
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
