Granite Leisure runs welcoming, community-focused health clubs where our people take real pride in what they do. We're re-launching our Eight Acres Health Club in Elgin - a great gym, pool, jacuzzi and saunas - and we're building a team of Leisure Attendants to help us open and run it brilliantly.
The role
Leisure Attendants are the face of the club and the people who keep it running safely, smoothly and looking its best. From welcoming every member with a smile to keeping the facilities spotless and being ready to respond in an emergency, you'll be at the heart of the Eight Acres experience.
We have multiple contracts available - zero-hours, 16 hours, or more. Whether you're after flexible shifts around other commitments or something more substantial, get in touch and tell us what you're looking for.
What you'll do:
- Be a friendly, helpful first point of contact for members
- Keep the gym, pool, changing areas, jacuzzi and saunas clean, safe and welcoming
- Set up and pack down facilities and equipment
- Act as a trained pool emergency responder, ready to respond quickly if needed (full training provided - please note this is an emergency responder role, not a lifeguarding role)
- Follow all health, safety and pool operating procedures
What we're looking for:
- A warm, reliable, can-do attitude and genuine pride in your work
- A team player who takes ownership
- A Pool Emergency Responder course is required - and we provide this, so don't worry if you don't have one yet
- A Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification is desirable for teaching classes, but is not essential
- Flexibility across daytime, evening and weekend shifts
