Duties
- Lead the design and development of compelling social casino game concepts, mechanics, and features that captivate players and promote long-term engagement.
- Collaborate with artists, programmers, and product teams to translate creative visions into functional prototypes and polished final products using tools like Unity, Unreal Engine, Adobe Creative Suite, and Maya.
- Define and oversee gameplay systems, UI/UX design, monetization strategies, and player progression to optimize user experience and revenue potential.
- Establish design standards and best practices while mentoring junior designers to elevate team performance.
- Develop detailed documentation including design specifications, test cases, and debugging procedures to ensure clarity across teams.
- Utilize project management tools such as Jira and Trello to track milestones, prioritize tasks, and facilitate seamless communication within the team.
- Stay ahead of industry trends by researching emerging technologies such as AI, SDKs, APIs, and new gaming platforms like Android and iOS to incorporate innovative features.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social or mobile game design with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful projects on Android and iOS platforms.
- Deep understanding of software development processes including application development using C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, PHP, HTML/CSS, SQL/MySQL databases, REST APIs, SDKs, GitHub/Git version control systems, and cloud services like AWS.
- Expertise in front-end development tools such as React, Bootstrap, MVC frameworks, Visual Studio, and Shell Scripting for creating engaging UI/UX designs.
- Proficiency with game engines including Unity and Unreal Engine; familiarity with Maya or SketchUp for 3D asset integration is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL), version control (SVN/P4/Git), debugging techniques, test case creation, and software testing methodologies.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing cross-disciplinary teams; ability to motivate creative talent while maintaining project timelines.
- Exceptional communication skills with an eye for detail; capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear documentation for diverse audiences.
