Many of our senior stylists started as assistants here, folding towels, learning the ropes, and then quickly moving onto the salon floor, taking clients and earning commission.
Summary
We’re looking for motivated, hands-on people who want to start their hairdressing career in a salon that takes training seriously. Yes, you’ll be washing hair, making coffees, and keeping the salon running smoothly, but you’ll also be learning, progressing and building real skills every single week.
Our assistants don’t wait years to get onto the floor. Once you master a skill, you’ll start using it with clients and earning commission. If you’ve got the drive, the progression is fast.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Washing and toning hair, learning to apply colour and treatments
- Creating relaxing shampoo experiences and luxury scalp rituals
- Helping stylists and colourists with cuts, colours, blow-dries and styling
- Keeping the salon looking sharp, from laundry and refreshments to clean, polished spaces
- Attending weekly training sessions (cutting, colouring, styling and consultation)
- Progressing your Level 2 Hair Professional qualification (NVQ) through our partner college or in-house programme
- Building client confidence as your skills develop, and earning commission on your work

Pay
£12.21 – £13.00 per hour (based on level)
Commission available once you start taking clients
Schedule
Full-time: 40 hours per week
Shift-based schedule (9am–9pm) including weekends
