Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and organisation of materials and equipment needed for daily operations.
- Assisting in the processing and sorting of metals ready for loading in containers or lorries.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas to ensure health and safety standards are met.
- Operating basic machinery or tools following safety protocols (training provided).
- Supporting team members with logistical tasks such as loading and unloading goods.
- Reporting any issues or hazards to supervisors promptly to prevent accidents or delays.
- Following all health and safety guidelines diligently during all activities.
Skills
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different operational roles.
- Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Experience in the use of mobile plant would be advantageous but not necessary as full training will be given.
