Salary Grade Range: NJC Point 3 (currently £13.28 per hour) (£9,559.59 p.a)
Hours of Work: 15 hours per week / 3 hours per day
Monday to Friday from 4pm to 7pm
Weeks Worked: Term-time only plus three weeks during school holidays
St Thomas More High School are seeking to recruit a pro-active and organised cleaner to join our friendly site team.
The selected applicant will be required to work independently and as part of a team to clean the school at the end of the school day.

Job Description
To ensure a clean and safe internal environment on school premises to support the professional delivery of the curriculum
· General cleaning duties to be carried out to a good standard within the time limits allowed e.g. sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, including window, glass and toilets.
· Responsible for cleaning designated area and for maintaining high and consistent standards.
· Remove all rubbish from designated areas.
· Report any possible/potential problems to line manager and site team where applicable.
· These duties are not exhaustive and additional duties may be required to ensure the safe and smooth running of the school.
Person Specification
Essential:
· Ability to organise, prioritise and complete tasks efficiently
· Good interpersonal and communication skills
· Able to work as part of a team or independently using own initiative
· Sympathy with the school’s religious nature
Desirable:
· Experience of cleaning in a school
Pay: £9,559.59 per year
