We're looking for an experienced Style Director or Senior Stylist to join our growing team. About the Role
You'll be responsible for delivering exceptional cutting, colouring and styling services while providing every client with a premium salon experience. We're looking for someone who is confident behind the chair, passionate about their profession, and enjoys contributing to a positive team culture.
You'll have the freedom to express your creativity while benefiting from ongoing education, premium products, and a loyal client base. We're particularly interested in stylists who have experience building and maintaining a successful column and who take pride in delivering consistently exceptional client experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional cutting, colouring and styling services.
- Conduct in-depth consultations and recommend styles tailored to each client's lifestyle, hair type and goals.
- Perform advanced colouring techniques including highlights, balayage, colour corrections and creative colour work.
- Deliver exceptional finishing, styling and occasion hair.
- Recommend professional homecare and in-salon treatments.
- Build long-term client relationships through outstanding service and attention to detail.
- Maintain impeccable standards of salon presentation, hygiene and professionalism.
- Keep accurate client consultation and colour records.
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate, helping to maintain the high standards of the salon.
- Stay ahead of industry trends through continuous professional development.
- Contribute positively to the culture, performance and reputation of Cracknells Hairdressing.
About You
You'll be someone who genuinely loves hairdressing and is passionate about creating exceptional client experiences.
You'll ideally have:
- NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing (or equivalent).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working on a busy salon floor in a senior stylist position.
- A proven track record of building and retaining a loyal client base.
- Excellent cutting and colouring skills across all aspects of modern hairdressing.
- Strong experience in balayage, foiling, colour transformations and bespoke colour work.
- Outstanding consultation and communication skills.
- A warm, professional and confident manner.
- A strong work ethic and a collaborative approach to working within a team.
- A commitment to continuous education and personal development.
- Experience with men's cutting and barbering would be advantageous but is not essential.
