Ambulance Care Assistant | Patient Transport Service (PTS)
£13.00 per hour | Full-Time or Part Time 3 Days On, 3 Days Off (Bank Self employed positions are available)
Halo Medical Group is seeking compassionate and professional Ambulance Care Assistants to join our growing Patient Transport Service (PTS) team based in Chester.
This rewarding role involves safely transporting patients to and from hospitals, clinics, treatment centres, and healthcare appointments across the region. You will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive a safe, comfortable, and dignified transport experience.
About the Role
As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will work as part of a two-person crew providing non-emergency patient transport services. You will assist patients with varying mobility needs while delivering excellent standards of care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to and from healthcare appointments.
- Assist patients entering and exiting vehicles.
- Provide reassurance and support to patients during their journey.
- Conduct vehicle safety checks and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Complete transport documentation accurately.
- Follow company policies, infection control procedures, and health and safety requirements.
- Deliver high levels of patient care, professionalism, and compassion.
What We're Looking ForEssential Requirements
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Maximum of 6 penalty points.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Caring, reliable, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work a rotating 3-on, 3-off shift pattern.
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Previous Patient Transport Service (PTS) experience.
- Ambulance Care Assistant experience.
- Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, Care Assistant, or Community Care experience.
Full training will be provided for suitable candidates who demonstrate the right values and commitment to patient care.
