Join Our Team - Part Time Hygiene Operator Position Available!
As a Hygiene Operator, your main responsibilities will include:
- Daily and scheduled cleaning of all production equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards (following cleaning schedules and work instructions).
- Disassembly and reassembly of machinery and tools used in production
- Cleaning and sanitising walls, floors, drains, ceilings, pipework using appropriate methods and chemicals.
-Use of pressure washers, foamers to clean equipment and surfaces safely and effectively.
-Measuring and handling cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH and company safety procedures.
-Completing hygiene records, checklists, and sign-off sheets to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Assisting with the stock control and safe storage of cleaning materials and hygiene-related PPE.
Position: Hygiene Operator - Peeled and Cut Department
Location: B+F Potatoes Ltd. Glebe Farm ,Butterwick, Weaverthorpe, Malton YO17 8HF
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday
- Standard hours: Monday to Thursday, 17:00–21:00.
- Occasional and voluntary overtime may be available on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
During busy periods, the Production Department may finish later than usual (around 18:00 or 19:00). In such cases, you may be required to assist on the production line for one to two hours before starting hygiene duties.
Starting Salary: £12.74 per hour.
Experience: Previous experience in a factory or warehouse is desirable but not essential as we value a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
