Duties
- Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Support the organisation of storage areas, ensuring ingredients and supplies are correctly stored and labelled
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and other areas within the kitchen
- Help with waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring all necessary items are ready for use
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality service
