Overview
As a Seagrass Bay Assistant you are responsible for the sale of products and services within a physical shop location or online, via the website or social media channels. You are responsible for stocking, organising, merchandising, marketing and selling goods and services to prospective customers, in a consultative and professional manner, whether this is in person, on the phone or via social media (or other digital channels).
Physical Shop - Duties & Responsibilities
· Open the shop at the beginning of operating hours and closing it an end of operating hours
· Ensure shop (internal and external) is clean and stock is updated and fully merchandised
· Greet, help and give advice to prospective customers
· Answer customer’s questions about specific products and services
· Provide accurate information (e.g. product features & benefits, pricing and after sales services)
· Where appropriate cross-sell with other products
· Stay updated with new products and services
· Be able to facilitate the beginning and end of a sale – from introduction to closing. This includes completion of the sales transaction via our inhouse systems (i.e.Zettle or Shopify)
· Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate inventories are maintained
· Handle customer complaints professionally and defer to a Director if proves too difficult
· Engage in appropriate behaviour at all times, representing Seagrass Bay in a positive and professional manner.
· Be able to process returns from customers
· Complete tasks as appropriated by a Director or Manager
· Report daily to appropriate Director
· Additional duties to be carried out as requested from time to time.
Online - Duties & Responsibilities
· Development of our website via the Shopify eCommerce platform – this includes adding & updating products (pictures and content), stock control, the site design and administration.
· Marketing of the website and products via email shots and other engagement tools
· Social media marketing – maximising online sales via Facebook, Instagram & Google (and others)
Pay: £12.50 per hour
