About the Role
Mooncare Limited is recruiting an experienced Female Support Worker for a support placement where the successful candidate must be confident working independently, following an individualised support plan and maintaining high standards of safeguarding, medication administration and professional record keeping.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare OR Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Safeguarding Children Level 3
- Up-to-date Mandatory Training
- Medication Administration Level 2
- A full UK driving licence and ability to drive
- Previous experience working as a Support Worker or in a comparable care/support role
- Good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and appropriate escalation procedures
- Ability to maintain accurate care/support notes and incident records
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow care plans, risk assessments and professional instructions
Applicants who do not hold the required Level 3 qualification and training may not be suitable for this particular placement.
Key Responsibilities
The successful Support Worker will be expected to:
- Provide safe, person-centred support in accordance with the individual's agreed support plan.
- Promote independence, choice, dignity and appropriate decision-making.
- Support the individual with their daily routines and agreed activities.
- Provide safe support in the community, including driving where required as part of the placement.
- Administer or support with medication strictly in accordance with the medication plan, MAR documentation and organisational procedures.
- Recognise safeguarding concerns and report/escalate them immediately through the appropriate safeguarding procedures.
- Maintain professional boundaries while developing a positive and supportive working relationship.
- Identify and appropriately respond to changes in behaviour, wellbeing or circumstances.
- Follow risk assessments and agreed risk-management measures.
- Maintain clear, accurate and timely records of support provided, incidents, medication and relevant observations.
- Communicate professionally with the wider care/support team and relevant professionals where required.
- Follow confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, safeguarding and infection-control requirements at all times.
Safeguarding
Because this placement requires Safeguarding Children Level 3, applicants must demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding children and young people, including recognising indicators of abuse, neglect or exploitation and knowing when and how concerns must be escalated.
The successful applicant will be expected to follow Mooncare Limited's safeguarding procedures and any placement-specific safeguarding arrangements.
Medication
Applicants must hold Medication Administration Level 2 and be able to demonstrate safe medication practice. This includes following medication instructions, completing relevant records accurately and reporting medication errors, refusals or concerns immediately.
Driving Requirement
Driving is an essential requirement for this role. Applicants must hold a valid driving licence and be able to undertake driving duties associated with the placement.
