About Yaffle Care
At Yaffle Care, we’re building something meaningful - therapeutic children’s homes where children feel safe, valued, and understood. We believe every young person deserves consistent relationships, compassionate care, and the opportunity to thrive after adversity.
We’re a fast-growing, ambitious organisation where leadership matters, quality is non-negotiable, and people are genuinely supported to do their best work. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for exceptional leaders to help shape homes that go beyond compliance, homes that truly do change lives.
The role
We’re looking for an experienced, inspirational Ofsted Registered Manager to lead one of our therapeutic children’s homes in Basingstoke.
This is a leadership role with real influence. You won’t just be managing a service - you’ll be shaping culture, developing people, and creating a home where children can begin to heal, grow, and rediscover their potential.
You’ll bring trauma-informed, relationship-based leadership to life, ensuring every decision, interaction, and standard reflects our commitment to outstanding care.
What you’ll love about this role:
- Leading a therapeutic home where your vision directly shapes outcomes for children
- The autonomy to build, develop, and embed a high-quality, values-led culture
- A strong focus on therapeutic, trauma-informed practice - not just compliance
- Being supported by an ambitious, people-focused senior leadership team
- A competitive package including bonus structure, paid on-call, and relocation support (where applicable)
- The opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding provider that invests in its leaders
Key responsibilities:
As Ofsted Registered Manager, you will hold full accountability for the home, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and delivery of the 9 Quality Standards.
You will also:
- Lead and inspire a committed team to deliver outstanding, child-centred care
- Embed trauma-informed, therapeutic approaches into everyday practice
- Create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where children feel secure and valued
- Drive high standards of safeguarding, compliance, and quality assurance
- Develop a positive, reflective culture where staff feel supported and empowered
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to achieve the best outcomes for children
- Take responsibility for inspection readiness and achieving Good or Outstanding outcomes
About you:
We are looking for a confident, experienced Registered Manager who can combine strong operational leadership with a deeply compassionate, child-centred approach.
You will have:
- A proven track record as a Registered Manager in children’s residential care
- Experience achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspection outcomes
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic practice
- The ability to lead, motivate, and retain high-performing teams
- A calm, resilient, and reflective leadership style
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable children
Above all, you’ll be someone who leads with both standards and heart.
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to join a growing organisation where your leadership genuinely matters. We are committed to investing in our people, developing exceptional homes, and creating environments where both children and staff can thrive.
If you’re ready to step into a role where you can make a lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you.
