Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our dynamic team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring that all items meet our quality standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Engage with customers to provide assistance, answer questions, and promote menu items.
Experience
- Previous experience in a café or similar environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic maths skills are required for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills are necessary to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- A genuine desire to help others and create memorable experiences for customers is essential.
