We’re on the lookout for a Plumber Drainage Engineer to join our busy Repairs Team. If you’re practical, skilled in plumbing and drainage, take pride in doing things properly and want a role where your work has real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a brilliant opportunity to put your skills to good use as part of a supportive team delivering high-quality maintenance services. You’ll inspect, clear and repair drainage pipework, fix leaks, complete domestic plumbing tasks, work on rainwater goods and make good afterwards.
You’ll attend pre-arranged appointments, arrange access where needed and keep colleagues updated on progress, concerns or risks. Just as importantly, you’ll help make sure each visit is completed safely, efficiently and with as little disruption as possible.
At interview you’ll need to show us your full UK driving licence. To be considered, you’ll need a minimum NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade, an equivalent qualification, or strong experience working on domestic plumbing and drainage installations. An NVQ Level 3 and CSCS Health and Safety for Construction and Services works would be a bonus, but they’re not deal breakers.
We know roles like this haven’t always attracted a wide mix of applicants, and we’re keen to change that. If you have the right skills, attitude and appetite to learn, we’d encourage you to apply, even if you don’t tick every single box.
You’ll have use of a company van, keep agreed stock levels topped up, record materials used and look after the tools, equipment and PPE provided. In short, we’ll trust you to do things well, safely and with care.

Inspect, clear and repair drainage pipework, including leaking cold water supply pipes.

Complete domestic plumbing tasks, including rainwater goods.

Carry out making good work such as concreting, slabbing and reinstatement.

Work safely in line with relevant legislation, building regulations and FHG policies.

Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues, arranging access and sharing updates where needed.

Your weekly hours of work would be 37, Mon to Thurs 8:00am till 4:00pm, Fri 8:00am till 3:30pm with 30 minutes for lunch, paid monthly. You'll also get 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and concessionary days holiday at Christmas.
