Your Challenge:
This role is responsible for the leading and developing a team focused on development and control of all vehicle load-cases together with the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of engineering methodologies, tools, and processes that support the Structural Analysis Department.
This includes generating and validating load cases derived from track data, developing load definitions for exceptional and non-standard events such as barrier impacts and wheel-to-wheel racing incidents, and ensuring consistency in loading assumptions across all areas of the car.
Identifying opportunities to improve existing workflows, processes, and analysis approaches. Develop and implementing new engineering methodologies to enhance the capability and efficiency of the Structural Analysis team .
Who we Want:
We are looking to strengthen our talented team with an individual who has significant experience in Structural Analysis, FEA, or Engineering Method Development. You should be educated to degree level in Engineering or a related discipline. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of FEA principles and developing engineering automation workflows. The ideal candidate will have experience within abaqus, associated scripting/customisation capabilities, python programming, Unix/Linux scripting, high-performance computing (HPC) environments, machine learning or advanced data analytics for engineering applications.
