About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a growing precision engineering and advanced manufacturing company.
The company produces high-quality, precision-machined components for a range of industries, including automotive, motorsport, defence and medical.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality components and enjoys working in a professional engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC milling machines.
- Work as part of a team to develop effective machining strategies.
- Select, source and manage tooling requirements.
- Manage workload to meet production schedules.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Carry out self-inspection to ensure components meet required quality standards.
- Complete routing sheets, operating tickets and computer-based production records.
- Ensure production is completed in line with engineering and quality standards.
- Report production, quality or technical issues to the relevant manager.
- Support continuous improvement and help reduce scrap rates.
- Maintain equipment and work safely in accordance with company procedures.
About You
The ideal candidate will have previous CNC milling experience within a precision engineering environment.
You should have:
- Proven CNC machining or precision manufacturing experience.
- Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Experience machining high-precision components, ideally in low-volume production.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Experience inspecting your own work and maintaining quality standards.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
- Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude.
Experience machining gearbox components or other complex precision parts would be advantageous.
