Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and creative Interior Designer Intern to join our dynamic team. This paid internship offers valuable hands-on experience in interior design, allowing you to develop your skills in a professional environment. The successful candidate will assist with various design projects, gaining exposure to industry-standard software and project management processes. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about interior design and eager to expand their knowledge within a collaborative setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating detailed interior design concepts and presentations using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Adobe Photoshop
- Support the development of 3D models and visualisations with tools like 3ds <PERSON>, Rhinoceros 3D, and Revit
- Contribute to project organisation by managing schedules, timelines, and documentation through project management tools
- Prepare CAD drawings and layouts for client proposals and construction documentation
- Collaborate with senior designers on colour schemes, material selections, and furniture arrangements
- Participate in client meetings, taking notes and assisting with presentation materials
- Support the team in site visits, inspections, and construction coordination when necessary
- Assist with research on current design trends, materials, and innovative solutions
Requirements
- Enrolled in or recent graduate of an interior design, architecture or related programme
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, and CAD software is essential
- Basic understanding of project management principles within design projects
- Knowledge of construction processes and experience working on-site is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently when required
- A proactive attitude with a genuine passion for interior design and innovation
Pay: £14.00-£39.00 per hour
